It is with great pleasure that La Cañada High School announces our 2017 graduating class Commencement ceremony. The ceremony is a celebration of our senior's achievements, as well as a send-off, to wish our graduates the best in their very bright futures. Parents, siblings, family, friends, and members of the community are all invited to help celebrate the graduating class.
Commencement will take place on June 1st, 2017 in La Cañada's own Spartan Stadium. If you would like to join us in this celebration, tickets must be purchased in advance. Please visit Ms. Claudia Alequin in the LCHS Administration Office to purchase tickets. Tickets are $10.00 each, cash only, and will be sold until June 1st, 2017 at 10:00 AM.
Parking will be on a first-come first-serve basis. Parking will be available in the front lot, the southern "Cage" lot, and the northern "Oak Grove/Senior" lot. Spaces will also be available on the north softball field, accessible from the "Oak Grove/Senior" lot, as well as on the southern baseball field, accessible from the "Cage" lot. The access road off of Foothill Boulevard is reserved for handicapped vehicles and guests. If you need access to this parking lot, it recommended to arrange it with Ms. Alequin beforehand.
Commencement is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM. Seating is available in the western home bleachers. Handicapped seating on the track is available, but must be arranged with Ms. Alequin. She can be reached at +1 (818) 952-4205.
Due to the formal nature of this ceremony, it is requested that all guests dress appropriately.
In hopes of maintaining the security of this event, guests may be asked to consent a search of their person and belongings. Failure to consent will result in being asked to leave the campus. Items prohibited at this event are as follows:
- Alcohol & Flasks
- Tobacco Products or Illegal Substances
- Lighters & Matches
- Markers, Pens, or Pencils
- Knives & Other Sharp Objects
- Weapons of Any Kind
- Air Horns/Stadium Horns
Please note that California Education Code prohibits the possession of many of these items on public school campuses, and possession of these items at Commencement may result in legal action against the holder under California Penal Code.
