My club, the Angel City Sports Club, works closely with the Angel City Sports Youth Leadership Council, a student-run subdivision of Angel City Sports itself. Founded in 2013, Angel City Sports aims to promote and spread awareness for adaptive sports in the Los Angeles area. Adaptive sports is the term used to describe athletic events for athletes with physical disabilities, such as limb amputations or muscular diseases. The La Cañada ACS Club will focus on sending volunteers to monthly athletic clinics held throughout Los Angeles. Second semester, we will also work with the Youth Leadership Council to plan and organize a fun run to be held at the annual Angel City Games in June. More information can be found at http://angelcitysports.org. We will be meeting approximately once a month on Thursdays in room 603. We hope you consider joining!
